1.  RATIONALE & PURPOSE

Tutoring is defined as additional academic support provided to students outside of regular classroom instruction. At Amman Academy, we recognize that students learn in diverse ways and may benefit from additional academic support at different points in their learning journey. While we do not consider tutoring essential for all students, we understand that targeted instructional support can be helpful in certain cases.

We are committed to supporting every student’s growth and ensuring that any tutoring provided is purposeful, ethical, and aligned with our educational values.

Tutoring may serve different purposes based on student needs, including:

  • Remedial support: Helping students catch up when they’re falling behind.
  • Enrichment: Providing extra challenges and deeper exploration for students working above grade level.
  • Skill-building: Targeting specific competencies, such as reading comprehension, writing fluency, or math strategies.
