Hello everyone! My name is Salomie and I am delighted to be part of the Amman Academy community as the IB MYP Coordinator. I also teach MYP-DP Biology and ESS. I feel grateful to work in a school that values care, curiosity, meaningful learning and the one that truly places students at the heart of everything it does. I come with experience working within the IB curriculum, which has shaped my belief in inquiry-driven, student-centred learning. I am also an IB Examiner, a role that helps me support students with a clear understanding of IB expectations while maintaining a balanced and supportive approach to learning. In my role, I aim to support students not only in their academic growth, but also in developing confidence, independence and a genuine love for learning.
I strive to create a classroom environment where students feel safe to ask questions, share ideas, and learn from mistakes. I believe learning is most powerful when students are actively engaged, feel supported, and can connect what they learn in class to real-world contexts. I enjoy guiding students as they explore scientific ideas, think critically and grow as compassionate, responsible learners. I look forward to growing, learning and contributing alongside the Amman Academy community.
