Amira Qatrunnada

Hi! My students usually call me Bu Amira and I am a PYP homeroom teacher who truly believes that school should be a place where children feel known, valued, and excited to learn. Every time I step into my classroom, I try to create an environment built on compassion, curiosity, and resilience where students feel safe to take risks, make mistakes, and rise again.

For me, teaching is more than supporting academic growth. I am passionate about encouraging students to develop holistically; helping them develop confidence, empathy, and independence. By taking time to shape strong relationships with students, I hope that classroom instruction turns into impact in my student’s lives. I believe in celebrating progress (big and small) with the families who support students. I want my students to leave the classroom not only knowing more, but believing more in themselves and being kinder to the world around them.

Beyond the classroom, I enjoy literature, spending time outdoors, having quality time with family & friends, and learning languages. I’ve learned Korean and now I’m learning Mandarin!

It is a privilege to partner with families and work with the students! See you in Amman Academy!
