Hello! My name is Suzanne Blewett, and I am an MYP and DP Music teacher. I teach with a strong focus on helping students grow both academically and personally, using music as a powerful way to build confidence, curiosity, and self-expression.
In my classroom, I aim to create a supportive and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking creative risks, and exploring new ideas. I believe learning is most effective when students feel safe to make mistakes and are encouraged to think independently. My approach is grounded in inquiry and exploration, helping students connect their learning to real-world experiences and to their own interests.
Music offers unique opportunities for collaboration, reflection, and personal growth, and I enjoy guiding students as they develop these skills alongside technical and academic understanding. Families can trust that I care deeply about each student’s wellbeing and progress, and that I value clear communication and strong relationships.
Outside of school, I enjoy travelling, discovering new cultures, and staying connected to the arts, all of which continue to shape my perspective as an international educator.
