My name is Rusli, but most students and teachers know me as Pak Bruce. I have been working in the primary library downstairs for about 20 years. Every school day, I meet our PYP students and help them find books, return books, and learn how to enjoy reading. I like being in the library because it is a quiet place where children can explore stories and knowledge at their own pace.
I may look serious sometimes, but actually I enjoy talking with the students and helping them choose books that match their interests. When a student tells me they finished a book and want another one, that makes me happy. Small habits like taking care of books and returning them on time are things I always remind them about.
Over the years, I have seen many students grow up from early readers into confident learners. That is something I am proud of. For me, the library is not only about books, but also about building good habits and curiosity. I am thankful to be part of this school community and to continue supporting our young readers every day.
