Kia ora, my name is Dan and I’m from New Zealand. I am a Year 2 teacher who loves learning alongside students and helping them grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence. I have been teaching internationally for over 12 years, with experience in international schools in South Korea and Japan. These experiences, along with my international family background, have shaped my appreciation for different cultures and global perspectives.
I hold a Master’s degree from the University of Auckland and believe that strong relationships are the foundation for meaningful learning. In my classroom, I aim to create a safe, supportive environment where children feel encouraged to take risks, ask questions, and celebrate their progress.
What excites me most about working in an international setting is being part of a community of lifelong learners—students, teachers, and families—who value growth and connection. Outside of school, I enjoy football, golf, and spending time playing the guitar, which helps me recharge and stay balanced.
