Hello, fellow book lovers! My name is James, and I feel incredibly honored to serve as the Library Coordinator at Amman Academy. It is truly a privilege to be entrusted with this role and the chance to grow with such a warm and supportive school community.
In my role as Teacher-Librarian, I conduct library lessons that spark curiosity and help students develop skills in information retrieval, research, literacy, and critical thinking. I dream of the library as more than just a place to read, I want it to be a welcoming and comfortable spaces where students feel safe to think, explore, and let their imaginations soar.
I have spent over 25 years working as a librarian, primarily in school libraries, and I remain truly blessed to serve in education – especially in serving children. Helping young learners grow into lifelong learners is my passion and calling.
Being part of the Amman Academy family is a blessing. I love working here because of the warm relationships within the community and the beautiful natural environment that surrounds us.
I believe librarianship in education is my field of service. Beyond school, I volunteer across Indonesia, supporting children’s education and health. Since 2020, I have also participated as an ultra charity runner to campaign for these causes. I am also a storyteller and the writer of my own stories – sharing hope, imagination, and meaning through words.
